startcooking.com has just been nominated for:

“Best Video Podcast“ at the People’s Choice Awards!

Over 335,000 people submitted more than six million nominations and startcooking.com has ended up in the top ten of the “Best Video Podcast” category.

There are 22 different categories — check them out! Anyone may vote, so — please – do go and cast your vote.

It may sound like a cliché but I am truly flattered to be in the company of my fellow nominees. They are:

I was so excited to see you there!! I’m voting for you every day!
I want to tell you, also, I made your stuffed mushrooms last weekend and they were a HUGE…..HUGE hit!!! I did modify it a bit….I used italian sausage instead of bacon (and only about 3/4 pounds instead of a full pound)
They were DEVOURED!!!
You know what….this gives me a great idea, I’m going to have to make them again and post about it on my blog and give you kudos. I love your show!

Just discovered your podcasts. They are so cool–I especially love the neat speed and sound effects…the recipes look yummy too. Please keep them coming to ipod format.

I can certainly see why you’ve made it to the top ten–congratulations! Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to produce and film an episode and what do you do with the food after it’s made?

Thanks Gary! For the videos, filming is done in real time with the real food! I usually make the one dish and then it turns into dinner for my husband! About a week’s worth of planning is necessary to pick the recipe, grocery shop, write the audio and photograph the step by step video. Then it can take my team many days to turn it into a video. I hope the results show how much effort is put into these videos!
