Countdown!posted in Lists and Leftovers by Kathy MaisterI love to cook and I love to teach. I am not a professional chef, nor do I create my own recipes. But exactly one year ago today, I dreamed that with my blog and cooking videos I could inspire people who had never cooked before to say: “I could do that!” The beta version of this blog has been going for a little while now, but, as they say: “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” Today we start the official countdown to the launch of the videocast version of my dream. I’ve been through a lot of experimentation to come up with a format that works, and I’m very proud of what we will be able to offer. There’s going to be cooking videos you can download to your iPod or a cell phone, and a whole range of related information that will make shopping for and cooking your favorite meals incredibly easy. In 4 weeks time, 28 days from now, on December 6, the startcooking.com videos will finally be available. You can sign-up at the top of this page for a personal notification when the new site officially launches. Estonia November 8, 2005I still can’t believe it was exactly one year ago today since David and I were traveling in Estonia and I said my crazy idea out loud for the first time. I’m really excited that the day has finally come to make this announcement. Mark the day — December 6. I can’t wait to start cooking! Cheers!
