I have been tagged by Deborah Dowd from Play With Food to participate in this game of tag, so here goes!

1. For over 20 years I have not owned a car. (I was not good at it. In fact, I would often forget where I parked it and once, even reported it stolen. It was eventually found right where I had left it.) Thank goodness city living does not require owning a vehicle!

2. Because of my husband’s work, I have been to Australia 20 times in the last 20 years, and it is in Australia where my husband proposed to me (at Darling Harbor, when he was eating a bowl of chili and I was eating an ice-cream cone).

3. I have been fined on pubic transportation throughout the world for having no (or the wrong) ticket, including Paris, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Holland.

4. I have studied the French language including a semester of immersion training at Dartmouth College, yet, to this day, no-one can understand my accent.

5. For years I worked at all forms of handwork including tassel-making, ribbon work, sewing, needlepoint, and knitting — but since launching startcooking.com I have no time for any of these because I have taken up doing all the photography for my site.
