Five Things You Don't Know About Meposted in Lists and Leftovers by Kathy MaisterI have been tagged by Deborah Dowd from Play With Food to participate in this game of tag, so here goes! 1. For over 20 years I have not owned a car. (I was not good at it. In fact, I would often forget where I parked it and once, even reported it stolen. It was eventually found right where I had left it.) Thank goodness city living does not require owning a vehicle! 2. Because of my husband’s work, I have been to Australia 20 times in the last 20 years, and it is in Australia where my husband proposed to me (at Darling Harbor, when he was eating a bowl of chili and I was eating an ice-cream cone). 3. I have been fined on pubic transportation throughout the world for having no (or the wrong) ticket, including Paris, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Holland. 4. I have studied the French language including a semester of immersion training at Dartmouth College, yet, to this day, no-one can understand my accent. 5. For years I worked at all forms of handwork including tassel-making, ribbon work, sewing, needlepoint, and knitting — but since launching startcooking.com I have no time for any of these because I have taken up doing all the photography for my site.
